Servings: 2-3
For pre op diet: 1 serving (110 g) – 9.4 % of your daily caloric intake.
(Based on 1,200 Cals per day)
For post op diet: 1 serving (50 g) – 11-9.3% of your daily caloric intake.
(Based on 500-600 Cals per day)
Directions
- Heat 1 cup of water until it comes to a boil. You can do this on the stovetop or in the microwave.
- Empty the contents of the strawberry sugar-free Jello packet into a mixing bowl. Carefully pour the boiling water over the Jello powder in the bowl.
- Use a whisk or spoon to stir the mixture vigorously until all the Jello powder is completely dissolved in the hot water. Wait until its cold and add 1 cup of Greek low-fat yogurt to the bowl.
- Stir the Greek yogurt into the Jello mixture until you achieve a smooth, consistent texture. Ensure there are no lumps or streaks.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or a larger serving dish, depending on your preference.
- Place the cups or dish in the refrigerator to set. Allow it to chill for at least 2-3 hours, or until the Jello has completely solidified.
- Once the Jello has set, it’s ready to serve. If you are at the pre op diet or later post op and you can have fresh fruit, garnish it with fresh strawberries or a dollop of additional Greek yogurt if desired.
This delightful dessert is not only delicious but also packed with protein and calcium, making it a perfect treat for all stages of your bariatric journey. Enjoy!
