I researched this doctor for over a year. I was stuck on another doctor for a year until I found Dr.Z once I talked to his team..I knew instantly I was choosing him. I loved the fact he was board certified, honest, spoke English & offered a video call as none of the others did.

I’ll start with saying I was worried about going to Tijuana Mexico but, I’m glad I listened to people & went finally. My experience was nothing but the best!  I received better care than I EVER have in the US!!!

I’ve lost 20 lbs since pre op on 02/15 & surgery was 03/01.

Dr.Z is a great surgeon. He has a outstanding bedside manner and an uplifting personality.

My whole surgery & endoscopy are on a USB & wow is all I can say. He does double stitching technique. It’s very cool to watch! They don’t do that in the US!

He’s very talented !  He loves what he does! He is very honest doctor!

He requires Endoscopy before surgery to determine which Surgery is best for you! Everyone speaks English. I only had one nurse that didn’t. I used my translator app.

This is how my trip went!

Arrival day before surgery.

Someone will be at the airport waiting on you.

Then they take you to Pre op testing . Didn’t take long at all for us!

EKQ, CT scan, measurements,Blood work. Must have negative Covid test before Arrival. If not, you will be offered one on this day.

You stay at Marriott hotel. They have Netflix! The broth is amazing & you have room service.

Their is a option for Spa, massage & Botox while staying in Tijuana. Whether it be before surgery or after. Massage therapist will come to your room.

Day 2 is day of surgery: they pick you up at 6 in the morning. You check into CIBA hospital. Get prepped for surgery. Dr Z comes to meet u in your room. Answers any questions you may have at that time. You have a leak test after surgery is preformed. Then Go back to you hospital room after recovery room. For Anastasia to wear off. Shower day. Their is Netflix in hospital rooms. You have  flat screen tv. They also have heating pads.

Day 3: Stay in hospital. Walk walk walk. The more you walk the faster gas pains will go away. The nurses are Very attentive. They check on you often. You have a call button at all times. They check your BP, o2 stats often. Your meds are given on a schedule. Leak test preformed.

Day 4: iv & drain is removed. Leak test! released from hospital. & go to Quartz hotel. This was my favorite part. It’s like a resort! They have broth, popciles. (Green apple ones are 🔥 ) they have shopping center there, bars, restaurants & a SPA. Where they offer facials, massages, etc. your coordinator can set that all up for you once you arrive.

I went shopping in Tijuana. The  facility set up one of their drivers to take us on a tour wherever we wanted to go. His name was Abraham & he was with us the entire time. Felt safe at all times.

Day 5: time to go home. They arrange a driver with their team to pick you up. This is usually early in the morning. To ensure you have enough time to get across border & to the airport to catch your flight.

So, the meds. You are on a antibiotic, nausea meds, anti acid med. you are offered to purchase some from pharmacy (cheaper there than us)

Not one time did I feel unsafe. Their communication is 💯! I left my cash & wedding band in the safe while I’m surgery & it was safe.

The nurses, staff, cordinators, drivers & doctor are amazing! Every day you have a new coordinator with go light. You can ask them for jello, drinks, ice chips, anything u may need. Everyone there treats you like a Queen.

TIPS: they don’t make much as you do in the US. I took 100 (10s) 100 (20s) and 100 (1s) for drivers, (hotel boys) & nurses. They very much appreciate it!

Since I’ve been home anything I need I text Dr Francisco Zavala Madero. He gets back with me asap! You would never get that in the US.
