“I was sleeved just three weeks ago. There are definitely risks to having surgery in a foreign country and I was pretty nervous but the Go Light team is extremely organized, which put my mind at ease. They always answered questions I had promptly and the process of getting approved for and scheduling surgery was smooth. I appreciated that Dr. Z does video consultations prior to scheduling surgery. Another doctor I was considering said he would do it but then never made the appt. I switched to Go Light not long after.
Florence hospital was very clean and the nurses and doctors were attentive and kind. Be prepared, however, that the hospital is older and the technology reflects that. I was a bit put off at first. But I feel I received excellent care. In fact, when I tried to call family from the hospital phone without success, the receptionist came upstairs and let me use her cell phone so I could talk to them for a few minutes. That was amazing! Also, when the AC in my wing of the hospital broke, the on site Go Light representative really went above and beyond to find a fan for me and bring me ice chips. She was fantastic.
